A pitch marker has been painting huge rainbows on school playing fields and outside hospitals, to thank the NHS and key workers during the pandemic.

Iain Courage painted a rainbow with ‘Thank You NHS’ on the playing field at Upton-Upon-Severn Primary School.

The painting has been photographed from the sky by the Air Ambulance as it flew overhead.

They have also painted one outside Malvern Community Hospital and today they will be at Malvern Rugby Club painting a rainbow to celebrate VE day.

It's one of a number of tributes to key workers across the region.

One baker from Peterborough made a huge cake to say thank you to NHS staff, while hospitals say they have been 'overwhelmed' by kindness and generosity from the local community.
