Musicians release virtual banjolele performance during lockdown
A music director from Wolverhampton has produced a video of his banjolele group performing virtually.
Members of the George Formby Society were meant to meet for their quarterly convention in March, but the coronavirus lockdown means they’ve had to be even more creative to work up a performance.
The Musical Director of the Society, Matthew Richards, said several of the group’s members decided to set up a video call on the conferencing platform Zoom.
They’ve been getting together every night for 40 minutes to thrash out a performance.
