100-year-old great, great grandmother gets clap of honour after beating Covid-19

A 100-year-old woman from Staffordshire received a clap of honour after being beating Covid-19.

Elsie Kelsall was admitted to Haywood on April 12 after testing positive for Coronavirus.

The great, great grandmother from Milton was discharged from Haywood Hospital in Burslem just 12 days later.

Her family say she is a 'survivor' and is a 'very independent woman – she acts like she’s 40'.

Elsie’s son Malcolm Kelsall, 76, from Light Oaks said he's 'pleased' his mother is back home and thanks all the NHS staff who help her get better.
