A & E nurse surprised with new bike after old one was stolen outside hospital

A nurse was left without his usual means of getting to work after his bike was stolen while he was working a 12-hour shift at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Russ Davison, who works in A&E, cycles approximately 12 miles to work.

However, when he finished his shift on Wednesday (22nd April), he walked out of the hospital to find his bike had been taken.

Since then, he's been borrowing a friend's bike to get to work but earlier today, and a web page was started to try to get some donations.

ITV Central surprised him with some good news in time for his birthday at the weekend...
