Chief Superintendent Phil Dolby shares thanks for 'overwhelming' support

A West Midlands Police Chief Superintendent has appeared on camera for the first time since leaving hospital after battling coronavirus.

Phil Dolby rang the bell at the Worcester Royal Hospital earlier this week, before leaving the ward to a round of applause and heading home to his wife and children.

He was hospitalised for three and a half weeks with the virus.

Now, in a video shared by West Midlands Police online, the Chief Superintendent wants to say thank you for all the 'overwhelming' support and messages he's had.
