Pair charged with murder after officers find man beaten to death in Wolverhampton flat

Two people have been charged with the murder of a man who was found beaten to death in Wolverhampton on Tuesday (April 21).

West Midlands Police found the body of 39-year-old Artura Busma at his flat on Tettenhall Road. Officers pronounced him dead at the scene.

A post mortem examination yesterday (April 22) revealed that Mr Busma suffered significant blunt force trauma to his head and body.

27-year-old Simon Wilkins and 33-year old Jodie Rafferty were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the killing.

The pair were living at separate properties on the same road as Mr Busma.

Simon Wilkins and Jodie Rafferty are due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates court today (April 23).

Mr Busma's wife has issued a tribute.

Police are still appealing for witnesses and information to fully understand what went on at the flat in Tettenhall Road and the movements of Mr Busma and the suspects in the hours before the murder.
