JLR to resume vehicle production at Solihull
Jaguar Landrover has said it will gradually be resuming vehicle production starting with the manufacturing plants in Solihull, Slovakia and Austria.
The company say it will be bringing back a third of the Solihull production staff from furlough. It will also start up engine manufacturing in Wolverhampton. It says it will restart other plants in due course.
This comes after the news on Monday that the company was furloughing all of its 20,000 UK workforce.
JLR says it is seeing a recovery in vehicle sales in China and that there will be robust guidelines to make sure staff are safe to return to work.
