NHS worker praises 'exceptional' colleagues who helped her survive coronavirus
An NHS employee has praised her colleagues for helping her survive coronavirus.
Karen Stevenson, who is an Administrator at Sherwood Forest Hospitals, was treated at King’s Mill Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit for 16 days.
The 43-year-old had feared she might not survive the virus and called her husband to make arrangements if she didn’t make it through.
After being put on a ventilator in ICU and later cared for on a ward specifically for patients with Covid-19, she is excited to be returning home after an almost month-long absence.
