Two men arrested after lockdown protest on college roof
Two men have reportedly been arrested after staging an anti-lockdown protest on the roof of Shrewsbury College yesterday (20 April).
They held a banner which read 'No More Lockdown', and one of the protesters was dressed in white overalls and a gas mask.
Police officers were called to the scene at around 1 o'clock in the afternoon.
The men agreed to come down from the roof shortly before seven o'clock in the evening.
The pair were then reportedly arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.
London Road was closed to traffic while the incident continued.
