Sandiacre blaze update: Fire service remain at the scene
Firefighters are continuing to tend to a fire at Springfield Mill, a four storey converted mill on Bridge Street in Sandiacre.
One resident, Thomas Crabtree, has said he's "working on the assumption that we’ve lost everything" after the blaze took hold of the flats shortly after 4pm yesterday.
One crew remains at the scene as areas of the roof continue to burn, along with the third and fourth floor of the building. At its peak, eight fire engines were on the scene.
There are no reports of any injuries, a spokesperson said.

Residents affected by the blaze spent the night in hotels.
Speaking following a joint emergency service residents meeting, Station Manager Danny Scully said:
Bridge Street remains closed and members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
The call comes as onlookers were seen yesterday evening filming the fire in close proximity to one another, despite current government lockdown restrictions.
Local residents are reminded to keep their windows and doors closed due to the smoke.
A joint fire investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, with fire investigators having to ensure the structural safety of the building before entering.
Resident Annie Clark, said until she went outside, she didn’t realise just how significant the fire was.
Meanwhile, Thomas Crabtree, another resident says he suspects the entire block has been damaged by fire and smoke.
Police remain on scene, and the building has been secured.
