Daughter 'so grateful' to the NHS after her mother is discharged from ICU after coronavirus treatment
The daughter of a 58-year-old woman who was diagnosed with coronavirus has praised the NHS after her mother was discharged from intensive care.
Annette Gardner from Redditch spent 17 days in ICU before being placed in a ward to continue her recovery.
Watch the moment she received a guard of honour as she moved to the ward.
Her daughter, Emma Kirby, is pleased to see her mum is getting back to her best.
Emma was fearing the worst after already losing her grandad to the virus and had said her goodbyes to her mum.
It is not yet known when Annette will be released from hospital but both she and Emma are thankful for the work of all at the Alexandra Hospital.
