Coronavirus kindness: Midwife's car repaired for free after catalytic converter stolen

A midwife who discovered her catalytic converter had been stolen after working a 12-and-a-half hour shift, has had her car fixed thanks to a local garage.

Kimberley Clayton discovered the theft after a long shift at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Shift, and was left her stranded 30 miles away from her home in Sheffield.

Bingham Auto Care garage provided a hire car and fixed the problem, meaning that she was able to carry on her shifts as an essential worker.

Nottinghamshire Police say a 32 year-old man has now been charged and two other men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
