Retailer Next restarts online sales after putting extra safety measures in place

Next has restarted its website sales today (April 14) after closing online operations in late March.

The UK’s second-biggest clothing retailer said in a statement posted to their website that warehouse managers had “successfully tested opening and taking a limited number of orders today”.

Next plc headquarters are based in Enderby, Leicestershire.

The Midlands' biggest Next store is in the Merry Hill Centre in Brierley Hill near Dudley.

Next have also posted a video to their website explaining the new safety measures that have been put in place.

These include:

  • Two-metre floor markings to help staff maintain physical distancing

  • A one-way movement system

  • Sanitising stations

  • Staff to wear tabards marked on the back with the message, “stay 2 metres apart”

  • Staff to be given “keep clean kits”
