Nottingham

Nottingham City Council is suspending its seasonal garden waste collections because of coronavirus in order to focus on the collection of essential general waste and recycling bins.

Here are some tips from Derby City Council to help you get your waste emptied:

  • Reduce as much waste as you can - only buy what you need and try to buy products with limited or less packaging.

  • Recycle as much as possible - recycling can still be stored at home safely without any risk if you rinse any food or product residue from it.

  • Put the right things, in the right bin - help bin collectors save time and money by putting items in the correct bins.

  • Putting your bins out - make sure bins are clearly presented as it may not be your normal collectors who empty your bins.
