HS2 protestors evicted from construction site under Covid-19 guidelines

HS2 protestors have been evicted from a construction site in Warwickshire under Government coronavirus guidelines.

The group were camped in Crackley Wood near Kenilworth to try and stop contractors chopping it down.

Last week a judge at Birmingham High Court ruled that they had to leave.

This morning (March 26) bailiffs moved in to remove the campaigners near Cubbington.

All dressed in black, they surrounded the group in the woods and advise them to leave the area with all their belongings.

Protesters said they were concerned whether officials were following health guidelines by keeping more than 2m apart.

HS2 told us they were.
