MP returns to former job as a care worker

Britain's youngest MP Nadia Whittome has returned to her previous job at a care agency in Nottingham to help with the coronavirus crisis.

The Nottingham East MP said she will donate the salary receives from herpart-time role at ExtraCare to a local Covid-19 support fund.

The 23-year-old says she's returning part-time to her previous job as a careworker because social care is already in crisis and the care system is in serious danger of falling apart during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The NHS has called for retirees and former health workers to return to theirprevious roles during the outbreak and Health Secretary Matt Hancock said around 7,500 had done so as of Monday (23rd March).
