JCB has stopped production from today (18th March) until the end of next week.
The company says an 'unprecedented' global decline in demand due to coronavirus is the reason for the decision.
Its nine plants are based in Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Wrexham.
No decision has been made on what will happen from Monday, March 30th and beyond.
