Drayton Manor theme park closed due to coronavirus
Drayton Manor Theme Park has closed today due to the coronavirus outbreak.
A spokesperson for the park said that they will be closed temporarily as the health and well-being of their guests and staff remains priority.
The park said that the decision to close was not one they had taken lightly, especially as 2020 is their 70th anniversary year, but they had to respect the Government's social distancing policies.
Anyone who has booked a ticket or a Stay and Play package at the hotel for the coming weeks will be able to reschedule their visit when the park reopens, which they hope will be in time for the summer break.
The Managing Director at Drayton Manor, William Bryan, said:“As a family business, the health and wellbeing of our guests and staff remain a priority. We need to not only allow staff and their families time to self-isolate if necessary, but also protect the future of the park financially."
He added: “These are difficult times for everyone. We thank all of our customers for their support over the past 70 years and look forward to welcoming people back to Drayton Manor later in 2020.”
