Birmingham NEC event cancelled due to coronavirus

An event at the Birmingham NEC has been cancelled due to coronavirus.

The Big Bang UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair, which was due to be open to families on Saturday the 14th of March, will no longer be held.

In an official statement it says the event was cancelled "following advice about Covid-19 over the past weeks."

It also claims its status as an indoor, hands-on interactive event would have put people at risk.
