Three cases of coronavirus confirmed in the West Midlands

Three cases of coronavirus have been confirmed today (March 5) in the West Midlands just one day after there weretwo confirmed cases in Derbyshire.

One case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Birmingham and two cases have been confirmed in Staffordshire.

Public Health England are working closely with NHS colleagues, Birmingham City Council and Staffordshire County Council to manage the risk following the confirmed cases.

Public Health England will be providing health advice and emergency contact details to people who may have come in close contact with the confirmed case.
