Hospital of the future design: 10-year-old wins art competition

A Herefordshire school pupil has won the "Your NHS" art competition with her design for what a hospital might look like in the future.

Viktoria Kutry, 10, included flying ambulances and robot doctors that can cure unusual illnesses and fix broken arms and legs in her winning entry.

Victoria was chosen as the winner by a panel of judges that included ITV Central's News Editor Gary Newby and John Burnett, the Communications and Engagement Manager at Wye Valley NHS Trust.

The competition, supported by the Department of Health and Social Care and Wye Valley NHS Trust, invited primary school children to design what they thought a hospital could look like in the future.

Ten winners of the competition, including Viktoria, travelled to London on Monday (24 February) to meet the Prime Minister and show him their designs. They have also won £500 worth of art vouchers for their schools.

Viktoria's design, and others that were also shortlisted as finalists from Herefordshire will be showcased in Hereford County Hospital soon.
