Vigil for starved man who died after losing benefits
The family of a man who starved to death after his benefits were stopped, are holding a vigil this evening.
Errol Graham was found at his home in Radford in Nottingham, on 20th June 2018, when bailiffs arrived to evict him for failing to pay rent.
The 57-year-old weighed just four and a half stone when he was found, and there was no food in his flat apart from a few out-of-date tins of fish.
Now his family and the Nottingham People's Assembly Against Austerity are calling for an independent investigation into his death.
Errol's former partner Diana Burton, spoke to ITV News Central reporter Rajiv Popat ahead of tonight's vigil.
There are now calls for an independent inquiry into Mr Graham's death.
Tonight's vigil will take place from 5.30pm, at the Brian Clough statue in Nottingham city centre.
The Department for Work and Pensions told us Mr Graham's death has been referred to the Serious Case Panel.
