Police conduct new search for missing mum Nicola Payne

Police are acting on new information and carrying out a new search to find Nicola Payne, who went missing nearly 30 years ago.

Police are now searching an area of canal between Coventry and Rugby based on new information they've received.

They say the search will last a few days.

Nicola Payne, who was 18-years-old, disappeared while walking near her parents' house in Coventry in December 1991.

A huge police operation was launched but despite numerous searches across Warwickshire, she has never been found.

Last year a reward for information regarding her whereabouts was increased from £30,000 to £100,000.
