Wife jailed for life after stabbing husband to death following row

A woman has been jailed for murdering her husband after an alcohol-fuelled row.

Deborah Carroll, 53, stabbed John Carroll, 52, in the chest in the early hours of 2 April last year.

John had been out drinking with a friend and returned home to Alwold Court, Barnes Hill in Birmingham to continue drinking.

The 53-year-old joined in the drinking, with John and his friend.

A court heard how row between Deborah and her 52-year-old partner erupted over 'something trivial'.
