20-year-old man in critical condition after Nottingham assault

A 20-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital, after he was assaulted in Nottingham city centre during the early hours of this morning.

Police were called just before 4.00am to Long Row, after reports that a man had been assaulted.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

A cordon is in place from Market Street to Angel Row.

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.
