Blues risk second points deduction after being charged with breaching EFL rules

Birmingham City has been charged with breaching the football league's regulations.

The club confirmed that the charge relates to a business plan imposed on the club in 2018/19 season.

They could face a possible points deduction - this would be the second time in less than a year.

The blues were deducted nine points in March last year for a breach of the League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

Birmingham City have denied the charge and will not be commenting further until the outcome of ongoing disciplinary proceedings.
