Two students from Leicester help rough sleepers this Christmas by cooking 1000 meals in three days

Since 2010 the number of rough sleepers has more than doubled and at this time of year, life for those without a home seems particularly bleak.

Two students from Leicester have decided to help rough sleepers this Christmas by cooking 1000 meals over three days and handing them out to people sleeping on the city's streets.

Our reporter Rajiv Popat was watching the team prepare the meals.
