Grandad meets the strangers who saved his life
A man from Stoke-on-Trent has had an emotional reunion with a group of strangers who saved his life.
Huw Chapman is now able to celebrate Christmas with his children and grandchildren thanks to four quick thinking individuals.
The 61 year old had just finished the final part of a 5k run when his heart suddenly stopped, causing him to lose consciousness as he suffered a cardiac arrest.
The strangers rushed to give Huw CPR and performed the life saving skill for fifteen minutes as they waited for paramedics.
Eventually the emergency services arrived and his heart was restarted with the help of a defibrillator.
He was rushed to hospital, where he underwent life saving surgery.
Huw will now be able to spend Christmas with his children and grandchildren.
