Two arrested after man stabbed at cinema in Nottingham
Two people have been arrested in connection with a reported stabbing at Cineworld in Nottingham.
A boy and a man, aged 16 and 23, have been arrested.
Officers were called at 8.17pm this evening to the venue at Forman Street in the city centre after reports of a fight.
A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital. His injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening.
The 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and causing grievous bodily harm.
The 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article.
Superintendent Ross Cooke, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our officers have acted quickly to establish the circumstances around this incident leading to two arrests and the recovery of a knife.
“Isolated incidents such as this are incredibly serious and as a force we are committed to ensuring that appropriate action is taken to keep people safe and bring to justice those responsible.”
A cordon has been set up inside the cinema. Extra officers will be on patrol to provide reassurance.
