15-year-old schoolgirl wins Leicester's Got Talent
15-year-old schoolgirl Lena Bettles from North Kilworth in Leicestershire has won this year's Leicester's Got Talent.
Lena is no stranger to the stage - she’s been singing at venues in and around Leicester for the past three years.
The competition, which is now in its eighth year, has seen some of its previous winners go on to achieve more success.
Singer-songwriter Eva Rose, who won in 2017, made it to the finals of CBBC’s talent series ‘Got What It Takes’ and Messiah Unsudimi, who also won in 2017 in the dance category, went on to make his West End debut as the young Michael Jackson in ‘Thriller’.
Event director, Romail Gulzar, said: “The city and county is filled with great talent and it’s brilliant to see so many confident individuals take to the stage each year."
