Murder investigation launched after woman found dead in house in Leicester

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a woman at a house in Leicester.

Emergency services were called to a property in Bartholomew Street shortly after 8.30am today Tuesday 8 October following reports that a woman had been seriously injured inside. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A cordon was put in place Bartholomew Street while enquiries were carried out. No arrests have been made at this time.
