Murder investigation launched after stabbing in Nottingham city centre
A murder investigation has been launched after a fatal stabbing in Nottingham city centre.
Police were called to Union Road just after 7.30 on Saturday night (14th September) to reports that a man had suffered stab wounds.
Ambulance crews were on the scene within minutes to provide medical treatment but the man in his twenties was pronounced dead a short time later.
A police cordon remains in place on the A60 Mansfield Road, which is closed in both directions between its junctions with Woodborough Road and Peachey Street.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
