Woman killed as serious fire rips through Dudley home
A woman has been killed after a severe blaze ripped through a home in Kingswinford, Dudley.
Firefighters, paramedics and police officers were sent to The Knoll after a 999 call at around 9pm yesterday (12 September).
Officers cordoned off the residential street as fire crews worked to put out the flames.
One man escaped from the property but a 64-year-old woman was confirmed dead inside.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said the fire was not being treated as suspicious.
“Sadly, a 64-year-old woman was confirmed dead at the scene.
“The fire is not being treated as suspicious.”
