British rapper Mist shot in armed robbery as thieves steal his passport and jewellery
Award-winning British rapper Mist has been rushed to hospital after being shot in Portugal.
The Birmingham-born musician was shot yesterday during a suspected robbery.
The burglars allegedly took the 27-year-old's passport, phone and jewels.
It happened at a rented villa in the Quinto do Lago Resort in the Algarve.
Mist, whose real name is Rhys Thomas Sylvester, was driven to hospital in Faro by two friends.
The man and woman told police at the hospital that he was shot in the leg around 10.00pm during a robbery committed by two or three men with Irish accents.
Heavily armed officers broke into the villa to make sure the burglars weren't still inside.
Mist performed at the Afro Nation festival in Praia da Rocha earlier this month.
He remains in hospital.
