High Street shop set alight after ice cream van fire

An ice cream van parked on a pavement in Smethwick has caught fire with flames spreading to a nearby building.

Around 20 firefighters tackled the blaze which destroyed the van and left the high street shop badly damaged.

The van was parked outside a pharmacy in Cape Hill after the ice cream van caught fire.

The fire spread through the premises which covers two properties in the street along with an Asian dress shop called T J Tailoring & Fabrics.
