Two injured as light aircraft crashes on take off

Two men have been taken to hospital after a light aircraft crashed in Staffordshire.

The plane was attempting to take off from Otherton airfield near Penkridge yesterday.

The crew were taken to the local Trauma Unit. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

In a tweet West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "A large amount of resources responded to reports of a light aircraft crash near Otherton Airfield Penkridge including senior Paramedic officers alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue, Staffordshire Police."
