'It was all in a day's work for us': Wren veteran recalls her part in World War Two on D-Day anniversary
Former Wren Pixie Jenkins from Walsall helped drive truck loads of troops, ammunition and material to Newhaven docks for the D-day landings.
Today she attended the service to mark the 75th anniversary of the largest seaborne invasion in history at the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas, in Staffordshire.
As a member of the Women's Royal Naval Service, she said it was simply her job to get on with it.
