Police given more time to question 29-year-old in connection with Nottingham stabbing

Police have been granted more time to question a 29-year-old man in connection with a stabbing in Nottingham city centre.

The attack happened just before 3.30am yesterday (Sunday 2 June) in Goldsmith Street, near a number of Nottingham Trent University buildings.

A man was taken to hospital in a serious condition after being stabbed in Nottingham during the early hours of the morning.

He remains in a serious condition, but it's not believed to be life threatening.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and is now being questioned by police.
