Endangered monkeys saved in nature reserve fire

Two endangered spider monkeys were saved by firefighters at Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park after a suspected arson attack.

Crews were called to the fire in the monkey house at about 10.40pm last night (23 May).

Spider Monkeys Rosie and Gucci were not harmed, but their enclosure was damaged.

West Midlands Police are treating the fire as arson.
