The father of six told ITV News how the incident has left his children traumatised.

He said: "Our family were made to suffer and the children were terrorised, they were traumatised and in distress since this happened.

"They don't want to come out of the house, they don't want to go anywhere, they don't want to do anything."

West Midlands Police acknowledged the mistake saying "incidents like this are very rare".
