Debenhams to close stores in Birmingham and Wolverhampton

Debenhams has announced it will be closing stores at Birmingham Fort and Wolverhampton.

The Wolverhampton store was only opened in October 2017.

The department store chain went into administration earlier this month.

In October last year, it announced plans to close 50 of its worst-performing stores.

Today it revealed 22 of those stores it plans to close in 2020, putting 1,200 jobs at risk.
