Royal wedding dress designer becomes one of the most influential people of the year
As we eagerly await news of Baby Sussex's arrival, the designer of the Duchess of Sussex's wedding dress is awaiting news of her own.
Clare Waight Keller from Birmingham has been named as one of the most influential people of the year after making the Time 100 list in the artist category, alongside pop star Ariana Grande and Bohemian Rhapsody actor Rami Malek.
She worked with the duchess to design the wedding gown for the ceremony last May.
Waight Keller made history in 2017 when she became the first female artistic director at the French fashion house, Givenchy, which was founded in 1952.
Actress Julianne Moore is among many A-list stars who've praised the designer.
The Duchess of Sussex presented the designer with the Womenswear Designer of the Year award at the British Fashion Awards in December.
In her acceptance speech, Waight Keller praised Meghan and thanked her for her trust in designing the wedding dress.
