Nottinghamshire farm produces record number of fish
A fish farm in Nottinghamshire has produced a record breaking number of fish.
Just over 520,000 fish were produced at the Environment Agency's National Coarse Fish Farm near Calverton. It saw a 30% increase in 2018 compared with 2017.
The average size of each fish also increased.
The fish are used to replace stocks lost to pollution and to improve stock where natural reproduction is low.
