First look inside world's biggest Primark which is set to open in Birmingham this week

Three years after The Pavilions shopping centre closed down, the world's biggest Primark is set to open in its place.

Around 5,000 people are expected to attend the shop's grand opening.

  • When will the new store open?

The world's biggest Primark will officially open on Thursday 11 April at 10.00am.

The new Primark will create more than 500 new jobs, while 430 colleagues will transfer from the existing New Street store.

The store will have more than 160,000 sq ft or retail space and five floors of fashion - as well as a new Disney-themed cafe.

There will also be a nail and brow services, as well as a hair blow-dry bar.
