Khun Vichai cremation ceremony takes place in Thailand
Former Leicester City Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha is being cremated in Thailand today after lying in state for 132 days.
He died along with 4 others, in a helicopter crash last year.
Leicester City players, who are not on international duty and staff have flown out for the ceremony.
The world watched in horror as the images emerged of a routine helicopter ascent from the centre of the King Power stadium's pitch, before it started spinning and dropped out of the sky into the darkness beyond the stadium walls.
But, as the tributes grew every hour outside the ground, people have drawn comfort from the solidarity the footballing world has shown each other, and the family of Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.
In the days that followed fans left hundreds of flowers, shirts and scarves outside the stadium in tribute to those who died.
But one fan left behind something particularly dear to him.
Funeral ceremonies for Khun Vichai took place in his native Thailand. The Leicester players flew out to take part and pay their respects.
Fans organised a 5000/1 march through the city, ahead of Leicester’s match against Burnley, their first home game since the crash.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch have published their initial findings, describing in stark detail what happened when the helicopter crashed, and the catastrophic damage to the aircraft.
They are expected to publish their full report later this year.
