CCTV shows moment gas explosion rips through flat above supermarket
Detectives have released CCTV footage of the moment a gas explosion ripped through a flat above a supermarket.
The clip shows the property above a Select & Save shop in Cannock Road , Cannock, being blown open at around 11am on Sunday, March 17.
Cars were forced to stop as tiles and bricks were flung onto the road.

Staffordshire Police, which is investigating the large explosion, appealed for the public to come forward with any information.
On arrival, a large amount of debris was on the floor and a fire was found at the back of the property, which was put out by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
No-one was injured but a man was treated by West Midlands Ambulance Service for shock.
Following a joint investigation by Staffordshire Police and colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, the explosion is believed to be suspicious.
A road closure has been put in place for the next few days and people have been warned to avoid the area if possible.
Detectives have now released CCTV footage of the explosion and are urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist the investigation.
