Passengers should expect disruption for most of this evening.
Network Rail is advising people to use alternative routes.
The power has now been restored, however several critical Network Rail and East Midlands Trains IT systems are still not working, so they are warning people that customer services are likely to be affected.
Passengers have been sharing their dismay at delays.
If people have been delayed over 30 minutes by today's disruption they can claim compensation.
