Landmarks of Leicester to star in new Monopoly game
The landmarks of Leicester are going to star in a new version of Monopoly.
Leicester is the latest city to be immortalised on the famous board - now players could be able to buy the King Power Stadium, The King Richard III Visitor Centre, The National Space Centre and Leicester Cathedral.
A Leicestershire Monopoly board was launched 18 years ago, but the game was discontinued.
Since then the game maker says Leicester now deserves it's own board as the city has seen a "great renaissance" with the city propelled to world status following the discovery of King Richard III's remains and Leicester City's footballing odyssey.
The layout of the new Leicester board is yet to be finalised, and the public have been invited to vote for Leicester landmarks and themed Community Chest and Chance cards to feature in the game.
The new board will be available this October.
