Murder investigation launched after the death of a man in Derby

A murder investigation is underway after the death of a man in Derby.

The victim was found with life threatening injuries on St Thomas Road in Normanton at around 1 o'clock this morning (Thursday 28 February). He later died in hospital.

Three men and two women have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in police custody.

number of scenes remain in the area and Peartree Road is currently closed to St Thomas Road at the junction with Portland Street.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
