The newborn lamb named after Gordon Banks
The first lamb to be born at a visitor attraction in Staffordshire has been named Banksy after the England goalkeeping legend Gordon Banks.
The baby sheep was born at Trentham Estate in Stoke-in-Trent. Staff decided to pay homage to the 1966 World Cup-winning legend, who died on the 12th February, at the age of 81.
Gordon Banks played for Leicester City and Stoke City, where he spent six seasons between 1967 to 1973.
The Staffordshire site's North Park is home to dozens of Jacob and Hebridean sheep.
The funeral of World Cup-winning goalkeeper Gordon Banks will take place on March 4th at 1.30pm at Stoke Minster.
